rpc.yppasswdd keeps dying

Hello all. I'm having a problem with rpc.yppasswdd continually dying every
couple of days or so. I can't find an obvious reason for why this is
happening, and would like to know if it has happened to others, why it
happens, and more importantly, how to stop it from dying. The machine it is
running on is an AlphaStation 255, running DU4.0B with 64MB RAM. It is the
main server for one of our research groups, and is the NIS master. The
daemon is currently running with the following options:

/usr/sbin/rpc.yppasswdd /var/yp/src/passwd -m passwd DIR= /var/yp/src

I have just recently applied the DU4.0B patch from Digital, (du40bas...),
but this problem has been occuring before this patch was applied. Any help
with this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Greg
