Hi gang, a few comments on my previous summary (about subnets on FDDI) has
led me to ask
this question....
Should DEC support supernetting on DU ?
>From what I can find, the program 'ifconfig' is the culprit, and the
response from DEC for wanting to
supernet was, "Why not go to a previous Class Address"
ie change from Class C to Class B or Class B to Class A.
although this would mean changing all the IP Addresses on the machines
involved to a new Address :(
Any comments would be appreciated....
