tcsh6.06 and 4.0B

Hello!

problems with the tcsh-6.06.The problems are related with the use of: ~
for example, if we execute :
        echo ~
the result is correct, but if we execute:
        echo ~username
the result is nothing, the same with other commands .

Do you know anything about this problem?

We have recompiled the tcsh but the problem continue.
