/TMP not being processed

Hi Managers,

I received a call today (Saturday, of course) from one of my ELM users who
reported that ELM isn't processing outgoing mail. Sure enough. I sent
myself a message from ELM and all it does is sit in /tmp. My /tmp about
13% full at present, but the weekend is a busy time for ELM and it will
fill steadily.

I checked permissions on Sendmail and they are properly set to 4555. I've
also rebooted the system, but no change. I even moved everything out of
/tmp and tried to send a new message but no change.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this?? My ELM users are a small but
very vocal group.

I checked the server console too and it said something about the vmunix
task list being full. Is this important? The message was gone after I
restarted.

I would love to fix this before Monday if possible, so if you too are stuck
at work on a weekend and have time to help, I'll be watching for replies.

Thanks in advance!

Debby Quayle
