I've been trying to tune a news spool. It uses an LSM stripe set with 7
RZ29 on the internal SCSI controller + 2 PCI KZPAA. It's a 2100 with
two 5/250 processors and 512mb memory. The write time seems very slow.

# volstat
                           OPERATIONS BLOCKS AVG TIME(ms)
TYP NAME READ WRITE READ WRITE READ WRITE
vol newspool 42557 21249 612616 316774 14.9 409.2
# volstat -d
                           OPERATIONS BLOCKS AVG TIME(ms)
TYP NAME READ WRITE READ WRITE READ WRITE
dm rz10 7905 3866 114084 56690 15.3 375.5
dm rz16 7998 4437 115292 64812 13.4 210.4
dm rz17 7862 3954 113740 57432 13.4 259.5
dm rz2 8016 3995 116464 59350 14.4 549.5
dm rz3 8353 4290 121162 63198 15.1 538.3
dm rz8 7935 4461 114484 64386 16.1 339.5
dm rz9 8053 4199 117132 61938 14.2 339.2

Writes are generally around 13ms, but the 30 second fsync triggered by
update brings the average up to the above figures.

Anything which can be done?
