Hi gurus,
I'm in the process of porting a LAT-based getty-like utility from our Ultrix
systems. One of the calls used on Ultrix when a getty started up was
the "vhangup" routine that initialised the terminal line, but this call no
longer seems to exist under DU3 or 4.x. Does anyone know if there's
a similar call or what procedure is necessary under DU?
Second question: DU makes reference to Clist vs STREAMS ttys and
notes that you can use a few calls to query a device and find out which
type it is (detailed in /usr/examples/lat/lined.c). However, I can find no
other references to the differences between the two terminal types, or
how to communicate with each type (or even how to create the different
types!). Any ideas or pointers in the doc set?
Thanks,
