SCSI Expansion on a 2100 system

We are attempting to add (2) 4GB drives to our 2100, currently our setup
is (4) 2.1GB, (1) cdrom, (1) external 8mm drive. When I do a show config
I'm seeing all 6 drives above on the same SCSI card. According to the
"manual" for the 2100, you can either expand the SCSI into a storage
works
box OR expand externally. Now what I don't get is how can we be setup
with both an external drive and an internal storage works bay all on the
same SCSI card? Within the storagewords box all (4) RZ28s are on the
same bus (every other one). If we had the dual bus SCSI card, wouldn't
the 8mm drive show up in the config with a different bus code? see below:

SLOT
 0 21040-AA ewa0.0.0.0.0 08-00-2b-e6-07-ed
 1 NCR53C810 pka0.7.0.1.0 SCSI ID 7
    dka0.0.0.1.0 RZ28M
    dka100.1.0.1.0 RZ28M
    dka200.2.0.1.0 RZ28M
    dka300.3.0.1.0 RZ28M
    dka600.6.0.1.0 RRD45
    mka500.5.0.1.0 EXABYTE DRIVE 8mm

I haven't opened up the unit, so I don't know where the cables all run
from/to.

Any ideas?
