After reading Juergen Bock's post about his system problems, I thought
I would query the collective net to see if others are having the
problem I have seen.
I have a pair of 2100's. One has a single 3 channel PCI Raid
controller and the other has a single 3 channel PCI Raid controller.
Each system has about 60 GB, but the drive configurations are
different in that one has split BA chassis and the other has 7 drives
in each line.
The problem is that each system has had the second channel of a RAID
controller go off-line with all drives on the channel going orange
(failed). I can optimize them and they come back, but the Array's are
trashed.
DEC doesn't have a clue and I was wondering if anyone else has seen
this.
