Dear Managers,
I am using a Digital Unix 3.2C system running on an AlphaServer 2100
system. I have that connected onto a network containing a Xyplex
MaxServer 1600 Terminal Server. The problem I am experiencing is that
some of my print jobs will fail to print completely, or fail to print
altogether. This seems to happen most when the network is busiest. The
scenario is this: I submit a job to print with lpr. The lpq command
shows that the print job appears on the queue. A later lpq shows that
the job is printing and a later lpq shows that the job has completed and
has been removed from the queue, however, when I go to the printer to
collect the printout it is either incomplete or not printed at all. Is
there something I can do to eliminate this problem? Has anyone else
ever experienced this problem before?

Yours sincerely,
Robert Honore
