TCP/Socket Timeouts ?

We have a 2100 running DU 3.2 which is basically used to run as a large Oracle
Server for the state. We have several queries being done from across the state
from sites with only a 56k line to a Frame Relay Service with a PVC conneciton in
to our server via a T-1 > Router connection. We are experiencing several
disconnects during queries. After much research, Oracle Reps. have asked
us (me) to check our kernel configuration for a low timeout configuration.
That's the problem. I know of no kernel option for setting am interface or
socket timeout. Here's the question:

Is there anyway to configure a timeout for a TCP/IP connection in DU 3.0 ?

I'm still waiting for my set of DU System and Network Admin. Manuals,
so I would appreciate anyone that could provide me with a solid response.

 Thanks,
