My second X window question today.... We have some VT1200 XWindow
terminals from DEC. They used to be attached to a VAX6000.
Now I want to connect them to my alphas under DEC Unix 4.0B.
Problem is: VT1200 only supports Xwindow over LAT.
IP is only usable for a text terminal window (telnet)
The alphas are just the other way round: I enabled LAT on the
workstations, but it only supports text terminals.
X is only supported over TCP/IP or DECnet.
Any ideas how to use these Xterminals other than as primitive
text terminals?
I heard about upgrade ROMs for VT1200. Do they support
Xwindow over TCP/IP?
Where do I get them? DEC said already some years ago, that they
don't sell the upgrades anymore,
although they sold us the VT1200 just the year before...
