Hi Listers,

Here is a simple one. What is the advfs equivalent to fsck?
I have gotten errors from vmunix detailing read and write errors
from advfs:

Dec 15 12:08:49 surya vmunix: vd 1 blk 150048 blkCnt 16
Dec 15 12:08:49 surya vmunix: read error = 5
Dec 15 12:08:49 surya vmunix: advfs I/O error: setId 0x33ef7592.000613b7.fffffff
e.0000 tag 0xfffffff7.0000u page 102
Dec 15 12:08:49 surya vmunix: vd 1 blk 2784 blkCnt 16
Dec 15 12:08:49 surya vmunix: write error = 5
Dec 15 12:08:49 surya vmunix:
Dec 15 12:08:49 surya vmunix: bs_osf_complete: metadata write failed
Dec 15 12:08:49 surya vmunix: AdvFS Domain Panic; Domain extra_dmn Id 0x33ef7592
.000613b7

etc, etc,

The OS revision is OSF1 3.2
The hardware is a 3000/600 The hard disk is a IBM DCAS34330 4.3GB Wide SCSI.

I would like to be able to umount the fileset, map out the bad blocks, and
set the users loose on it again.

I have a current backup and the file system is being used currently, it
just takes itself offline and becomes unavailable waiting for a reboot.

Thanks In Advance,

John Tabasz
