St Valentines Day Masacre

Feb 14, 1997 I reset time on DU. I did a quick check with man pages for 'date' and picked a syntax of mmddhrmm, in other words the man pages said unix would default to current year....not so.
For several hours my server thought it was Feb 14, 1930. This seemed to cause it no end of distress.
I had no problem fixing up my oracle app but du is not so easy for me.
My /user filled up to 111%. I moved some files out (bookreader) to bring it down to 94% so it is up and running.
The largest remaining file is /usr/var/index/ncc/db which is about 142 meg.

How can I convince my server that all is well and I was just kidding about that 1930 thing.
