Q: detecting autoboot from rc scripts?

Hi folks. Hopefully, someone can shed some light on this:

Under Ultrix, when the system is booting/rebooting, the /etc/rc (and
/etc/rc.local) scripts are invoked with the argument 'autoboot' to
indicate if an automatic reboot is in progress. This argument can
then be checked to control whether or not certain actions are taken
when the rc scripts are processed. We are converting from Ultrix
to Digital Unix, and I was wondering if there is any comparable way
to tell (inside the rc scripts) whether or not an automatic reboot is
in progress (as opposed to the system coming up when not doing an
automatic reboot).

Any comments or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
