Quick list! I recieved several responses from :
Jim Surlow <jsurlow_at_ambient.acs.uci.edu>
Ladie Geronimo <lgeronim_at_sph.jhu.edu>
alan_at_nabeth.cxo.dec.com
joe_at_resptk.bhp.com.au (Joe Spanicek)
All suggested to crash, halt, pressing the halt button and such but non
of these would work. I had no sessions open from which to hack or crash
the station. It was set to auto_action boot so power cycling did no
good.
(SUN has a nice contol-key-set to stop the machine in its tracks no
matter what, does Digital have this?)
All the suggestion gave me a good idea. It boots from an external drive
pedestal, I turned off the pedestal and powered up. A nice boot prompt
was the reward. Guess you could do that to an internal SCSI connector
if necessary. I'd still like to be able to escape out of the boot
sequence somehow.
Thanks all!
