Hi,

I got my rhosts file fixed and now I am having the following problem with
dump:

#dump 0uf utalf7:/dev/nrmt0h /users
DUMP: Date of this level 0 dump: Sat Feb 22 22:23:40 1997
DUMP: Date of last level 0 dump: the epoch
  DUMP: Dumping /dev/hda4 (/users) to /dev/nrmt0h on host utalf7
DUMP: mapping (Pass I) [regular files]
  DUMP: mapping (Pass II) [directories]
DUMP: estimated 76381 tape blocks on 1.96 tape(s).
rdump: Lost connection to remote host.
DUMP: Bad return code from dump: 1
#

Now I'm trying to dump from the linux machine to the alpha. On the linux
machine, the rmt command is in /sbin while on the alpha, its in /usr/sbin
and is statically linked into /etc.

Any clues why the remote machine would kill my connection? I was
wondering if it might have something to do with inetd.conf.

Any help will he apprecited.
Sincerely
Santosh Krishnan
