I am in the process of trying to apply some if the fixes to my running
system. The patch kit has some mandatory fixes that are applied so my
thinking was to apply them before i applied other patches. During the
checking phases of DUPATCH , i get messages out that the fixes cannot be
applied since certain files do not exist - there are a number of them -
for example /usr/sys/BINARY/if_ether.o , etc. I checked the directories
- these files are not there although in another directory there are links
to them. I didnt remove them. My question is can anyone help in terms of
where the files in this directory could be found so that i can copy them
there and rerun the DUPATCH utility? The system came this way from DEC as
best i can ascertain. Has anyone experienced this? Has anyone applied the
patch kit partially or in total?
