We're running a centralized DU3.2 file server, with Samba taking care of
the PC service. We're trying to add CAP service for the Macs. The Cap
suite (cap60pl100 w/patches though 198) works fine for the Macs as a pure
Mac file server, however, files written to the mac directory of the UNIX
file server by PC's are sometimes unreadable by the Macs, for example,
Filemaker files saved from a PC to the Mac volume of the UNIX file server
can be read by Filemaker on the Mac without difficulty, but Word files
saved in same way can't. There's no problem with the PC's (Win95) reading
Word files out of the directory serving as the Mac volume. This creates a
problem for our Mac/PC users sharing files. Can anyone with more CAP
experience give me any ideas about this? Thanks.
