screen resolution for S3 Trio64 in AS 255/233

how do i change the screen resolution for a S3 Trio64 graphics card
(with 2MB) in an Alphastation 255/233 from the default 1024 to 1280?
can i change an X startup parameter, or are there jumpers on this card
that i need to change? sizer -gr reports 1024x768.
