console messages

hi there,

        Is there a way to redirect ALL the console messages to file
        or to a different host. I have users writing to disks and when
        they get full, a whole lot of messages scroll on the console
        monitor which causes the user logged in to refresh the screen
        very often and they cannot work after some point.
