Thanks to everyone for all the responses on deleting VUMNIX. Due
to the machine being down I was unable to receive email, so I called
Digital Support.
Problem was solved by booting from CD and then doing a restore from
tape of the VMUNIX file. Thanks again for the many emails.
Also thanks earlier in the week for the help on adding a new disk
drive, the system did find the new drive WITHOUT rebuilding the
kernel.
Hopefully this will be the last question/problem for a while!!
