Hi, Managers.
Thanks for the many replies to my NetWorker question.
What to do when /nsr runs full.
It is "pretty obvious", as Dr. Blinn says, that one should keep an eye
on its space requirements, and in case of shortage get some more
space.
The interesting part is what direct action to take. Is it possible to
add more space (for example with addvol) and let the backup session
run to completion - or is it necessary to stop NetWorker completely
for maintenance. Or will the indexes be broken anyway.
The answer seems to be that NetWorker has to be stopped. Then it is
possible to move 'db' files elsewhere leaving links to them. The
command nsrck -F can be used to reclaim unused space in all indexes
but this requires sufficient space to keep a copy of the old and the
new version of an index.
