Hi there,

here is just an FYI.

After a recent upgrade from DU3.0 to DU4.0A (by the painful process of
installupdate), we found that the previously working bootp setup was failing.

The upgrade had replaced bootpd in /etc/inetd.conf with joind.

Joind could not understand the previously perfectly working bootptab.

I got rid of joind and replaced it with bootpd, which was still there, and
all is working again.

I have plenty of experience with the ISC's dhcpd, and everything I see of
joind suggests to me that it is simply a "pile of ordure" (as someone
semi-famous once said).
