Information on LAT?

Hello,

Does anyone have any information on Local Area Transport in regards to
Digital UNIX? or know where to find some? The documentation isn't very
clear. I understand that LAT works well with IP on the same network, but
will like to learn more about LAT. Any help is appreciated.
