Hello all!

We have a DEC Alpha 2100 running UNIX 3.2G. We currently have 2.1GB disk
drives (RAID 5 with 5 disk drives in a set). We want to upgrade those to
9.1GB devices. Does someone has a procedure for that? OR Should I follow
these steps:

1) Use "dump" to backup the filesystems on 2.1GB drives.
2) Bring the system down. Swap the drives.
3) Use SWXCRMGR at ARC to create groups and inititalize the logical
drives.
4) Boot-off the generic kernel and replace the existing kernel.
5) Re-partition the drives and NEWFS the partitions.
6) Perform the restore from the backup.

Am I missing any steps? OR any other precautions?

TIA

Harry
