XDMCP problems

I looked in the archive and found numerous questions about XDMCP, but none
of the solutions worked for me. We have Windows NT PC's running eXceed 5.
They are in XDMCP broadcast mode, and at first, connections on all hosts
were refused, and eXceed reset the server. I blanked out the "Key" and
"Display Class" fields in eXceed's Xconfig, and then I could connect to
some of the machines, namely Linux machines, and Alphas running CDE/DU4.0.
However, when I try to connect to our older Alphas, running 3.2C thru 3.2G,
I get the login screen, and then the xserver resets. I've checked the xdm
config files, and they are the same on the 3.2 machines as on the 4.0
machines.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this isn't working?

Thanks,

Jon
