We installed a DE-500-BA NIC to a Alphastation 200 4/266. Digital Unix 4.0B is
installed in this workstation. I had to upgrade firmware to 5.2 before it even
noticed the new netwrok adapter. The I reconfigured kernel and booted the
machine. It is connected to VNSwitch. The problem is that it only works in
10Mb/s, half-duplex mode. I have tried auto-negotiate-mode, 100Mb/s,half-duplex,
etc. When I use auto-negotiate, it negotiates itself to 100Mb/s, full-duplex
mode, finds link and all the LEDs in the adapter are lighted. All seems normal
but network doesn't work. Pinging to a host goes nowhere.
