Hi Gurus,
In one of our backup sets, we have a cluster of DU4.0x clients/servers
mixed with Solaris 2.6 machines. In this particular cluster, the Sun
boxes are backed-up to a DU4.0D server. I'm using simple dump (on du)
and ufsdump (on solaris) commands. Everything was working fine until
I upgraded the backup server from 4.0C to 4.0D. Now I get the following
errors from the Solaris 2.6 clients:
DUMP: Writing 63 Kilobyte records
DUMP: Date of this level 0 dump: Thu Aug 27 07:53:38 1998
DUMP: Date of last level 0 dump: the epoch
DUMP: Dumping /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s0 (djarc:/) to dbsrv:/dev/nrmt0h.
DUMP: Mapping (Pass I) [regular files]
DUMP: Mapping (Pass II) [directories]
DUMP: Estimated 51982 blocks (25.38MB) on 0.01 tapes.
DUMP: SIGSEGV() ABORTING!
DUMP: Process 1907 killed by signal 6: Abort
Not sure why this stopped working since the upgrade. It doesn't look
like a trust issue. Any suggestions are appreciated. Will summarize.
Regards,
Steve
