I only had one response for this message which was from
"Nestor Ruiz" <nruiz_at_hermes.bvl.com.pe>
Who kindly sent me a program that is used to create a clean "ttys" file. If
anyone would like a copy of the script, please email me.
As for our situation I have found that there is actually a problem which is
causing our ttys file to have t_failures in it, so I really need to address
that.
Cheers
Glenn.

A couple of months ago I and some others posted a question on how to fix a
problem with DU 3.2g when users get the message "terminal is disabled - see
account administrator". Well thanks to this list I got the answer, which
was to change the t_failures value in /etc/auth/system/ttys.
We seem to be getting more and more occurences of this , especially in the
early morning or on weekends. I suspect the night shift people are causing
the problem.
So what I am after is a script that I can run from crontab that will change
the t_failures values. Rather than re-invent the wheel, I was hoping that
someone would have one that they might like to share.
