Hi Managers,

I have a problem with trying to get an Exabyte 8500 8mm drive
equiped with a Peripheral Vision TR1 compression card and LCD
front door display working under DU4.0B.

The drive works fine on 4.0B if the Peripheral Vision card is
removed
so it is not the drive itself.

We can do a vdump to the drive but when doing a vrestore it
cannot read
any data - it gets an I/O error with illegal request in the
uerf log.

I have tried creating many different entries in the ddr.dbase to
try to
get it to work without success.

Has any one gotten one of these working on DUV4 and if so how ?

The compression card allows up to 10GB on the tape and has
status
info displayed on the LCD panel.

        Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

John Welsh.
