First, I apologize for having to send this off-topic, spam-like posting.
Our oldest server still in use is a DEC 3000 model 500, running DU 4.0b.
We are in desperate need of a power upgrade on this machine. DEC once
sold "upgrade kits" for 3000/500, which actually turned the 500 into a
3000/800 or 3000/900. We are told by our representatives that this
upgrade is no longer available (not too surprising considering the age
of the server).
If you or your organization is willing to depart from an unused 3000/800
or 3000/900, either in the form of a motherboard only, or a complete
system, please contact me by e-mail. My organization is willing to make
reasonable arrangements.
