All,
I'm having problems using the ADDUSER command. I'm basically just adding a
test user to prove logins work but am getting the error message at the
bottom of the mail
Any ideas ?
Enter a login name for the new user (for example, john): TEST
Enter a UID for (TEST) [1002]:
Enter a full name for (TEST): TEST
Enter a login group for (TEST) [users]:
Enter another group that (TEST) should be a member of.
(<Return> only if none):
Enter a parent directory for (TEST) [/usr]:
The shells are:
/usr/bin/sh /usr/bin/ksh /bin/sh /bin/ksh
/usr/bin/csh /usr/bin/posix/sh /bin/csh
Enter a login shell for (TEST) [/bin/sh]:
Adding new user...
useradd: Two entries with the same group name but different GID's were found
Error, exiting useradd /usr/sbin/adduser. Check /etc/passwd.
I've checked /etc/passwd but cannot see anything obvious.
Thanks in anticipation.
