Summary: problems with automounter

Sorry for the bandwith, I found the solution by my own:

the machine was NIS-slave-server and had not the automaster map. Don't
know why, but just a push from the master got the map to the slave
(ypxfr did not the job).

the question was:

after a major crash recovery, the automounter is not working.
I made /tmp_mnt with 1 dr-xr-xr-x 2 root system 512 Sep 30
02:03 tmp_mnt/
but the automounter doesn't start:
Sep 30 02:28:32 mailer2 automount[611]: No file systems to serve

what to do?
