help w/increasing swap space

Running a Personal Workstation 433au with Digital UNIX 4.0d. I have a
very small user base (only 5 users, woohoo!), so swap space hasn't been
an issue, but there's a good chance it will in the very near future.

I only have one 4.3 Gb internal drive (rz16), no external drives nor a
tape drive... only the CD-ROM that came with the system. Therefore, I'd
like some advice on how to go about repartitioning this one drive while
preserving the data on it. I have access to a couple of network drives
that have enough space to hold the entire contents of the internal
drive. I also have the installation CD-ROM which will boot the machine,
I believe.

Currently, the entire drive is being used. The "a" partition hold /;
the "b" partition is the swap space; the "g" partition holds /usr; and
the "h" partition holds /home (user directories).

Ideally, we'd like to take about 448 Mb out of the "h" partition, move
the "g" and "h" partitions 'back' and then increase "b" into the space
that is freed up.

So I'm wondering if this is possible with network drives. Wouldn't
shutdowning down to single-user mode cut me off from the network drives?
Thankfully, /sbin is on the "a" partition. Also, I'm using AdvFS
filesystems.

Also, when editing the disklabel data... how do I set the right numbers
for stuff after '# (Cycl. '? I've got all the other block numbers
figured out... but that last one has me puzzled. It seems to be a
comment field so not something I necessarily have to worry about.

If I didn't have just one drive, this would almost be easy.... :-)

Thanks in advance
