Hello managers!
I got 4 responses to my little problem :
Thanks to Mike D Cross, Bevan Broun, Charles M. Richmon,
and merci to Marie-Claude Vialatte
So my problem is harmless, I don't change anything for the moment
Mike D Cross says :
The manual pages are stored unformatted, when you request a man page
it is formated and stored in a temp file, which is then more'd. All
you are seeing is the name of the temp file.
Bevan Broun says :
What have you got your PAGER enviroment variable set to? Try setting it
to more or less
Charles M. Richmond says :
All this time and I had not noticed this behavior! My 4.0B box
does the same thing, man27036 (1%) , while my 4.0D box is fine
with, man.1 (1%). It seems like a bug but it also seems to be
harmless.
Marie-Claude Vialatte says :
Ce n'est pas lie a man, mais a more. (je l'ai aussi avec d'autres
logiciels tel lynx).
Je pense que cela tient a la valeur de TERM, et a la definition
du type de terminal dans /etc/printcap.
Je dois avouer que j'ai vu le probleme, mais que je n'ai pas
encore pris le temps de le corriger.
My question :
> On one of my alphas (DU 4.0B) , man have a strange behaviour,
> the last line on the screen mentionned eg "man26260 (23%)"
