        Hello, Dear Managers!

I have some problems on Alpha 3000 workstation running DU 3.02b.

wtmp file grows up itselft while nobody logins. There are a lot of
records like (output of fwtmp command)
------------------------------------------------------------
getty console console vt100 cons console
 08933 05 0000 0000 907573040
                Mon Oct 05 09:37:20 1998 MET DST
LOGIN cons console
 08933 06 0000 0000 907573040
                Mon Oct 05 09:37:20 1998 MET DST
------------------------------------------------------------

There is another strange thing with /var/log/messages file:

------------------------------------------------------------
>ls -l messages
-rw-r----- 1 root adm 50133 Oct 5 09:05 messages

>tail messages
Oct 5 09:15:03 ignosc4 vmunix: scc0: input silo overflow
Oct 5 09:25:07 ignosc4 last message repeated 3221 times
Oct 5 09:35:08 ignosc4 last message repeated 2163 times
Oct 5 09:43:23 ignosc4 last message repeated 7188 times
Oct 5 09:55:18 ignosc4 last message repeated 5984 times
Oct 5 10:05:02 ignosc4 last message repeated 8270 times

>date
Mon Oct 5 09:48:15 MET DST 1998
----------------------------------------------------------------

As you can see, last message dated Oct,5 10:05, but file
modification time is one-hour before (right time), and date shows you
current time.

So, I have the following questions:

        1) Why wtmp file grows up itself?
        2) What does means that strange LOGIN records in wtmp file?
        3) Why I have message scc0: input silo overflow, what should I do?
        4) Why syslog time is not syncronized with system time?

        Thank you in advance!
