NIS compability

Hi managers
I have DU 4.0D with C2 security and Solaris 2.5.1 with shadow, and i want
to use NIS. How do i do to share passwd file or prpasswd file or shadow
file, for logging or authentication?
Is there any link in the web what do you know?
Has anyone intented this?
