500au and OS 4.0D

Hi Managers,

I'm trying to install 4.0D on an AlphaStation 500au.

I updated the firmware to v6.6-29 using Firmware Update V5.0, booted
from the CD and ran the setup (repartitioned the disk).

However the base software can't be installed, with this error repeating:

CAMLogger: cam_error packet
:bus2
isp_intr
write Data Overrun detected - reset SCSI bus to recover
cam_logger: bus2 target 0 lun 0
ss_perform_timeout
timeout on disconnected request

There is only one disk listed:

>>>show device
dka0.0.04.0 dka0 toshiba CD-ROM
...
ewa0.0.0.3.0 EWA0 <mac address>

...


Any help is appriciated.
