Hi managers,
is there anyone out there who has an arena raid array (www.arena.net.tw)
installed successfully under Digital Unix ? This array is supposed to
behave like a normal SCSI device, and it is known to work on Solaris,
HPUX, Windows & MacOS.
The disk is detected and listed correctly in the system boot record. Our
problem is that on various hosts running DU4.0D (PWS500) and 4.0C
(PWS433au) the system crashes while going to multi-user mode (kernel
memory fault) when the array is connected to the SCSI bus, while on _one_
other host (a PWS 500au) running 4.0D the disk can be accessed without
problems.
DEC support has been informed, but hasnt been successful diagnosing the
problem yet.
Goetz
