I have an Alpha 4100 with RA 7000 disk array and an implementing QAD's MFG PRO 8.6C on a Progress 8.2C (workgroup).
I only use telnet sessions to connect to the machine, and also run DU Advanced Server, and a single progress client connection.
The machine has been tuned and is running better than previously yet it still consistantly has no idle time - user approx 30-40% with system the remaining time.
It runns approx 8000-12000 page faults (vmstat 2) with only 15-20 users on the system.
Any suggestions to improve the performance of the machine would be appreciated as would suggestions and for managing the progress database and MFG PRO.
