DEC Fortran problems

A professor here at the University migrated a number of Fortran programs to
our DEC Unix (v3.2g) system from the old VMS system, and has had a problem
with Fortran not behaving the way he was expecting.

His description of the problem: Normally, placing a "1" in the first column in
an F77 generates a form feed, pushing output to the next page. On the Unix
system, it hasn't done that. We installed DEC Fortran V4.1 and that still
hasn't resolved the problem.

Any ideas?
