login from Xterminal

Hello all: What files ..parameters .. or settings do I need to change to
allow root to login from an Xserver
that I have running on my PC.
I am trying including my iphostname on the file /etc/securettys in the form:
Myxterminalpc:0 (but this don't work)

 I doo currently have ptys there for access from telnet logins.
