Hello managers,
I have a 4100 and a 4000 in an ASE cluster. Each machine has two 100 mb nic
cards. One card is used for a cluster network. These two cards are connected
together with a swap cable. The other nic card in each machine is connected
to a switched network hub device. The problem I have seen is when the
switched device goes down for a period of time and comes back up, the
cluster disappears off the network. I have to physically switch the nic
cables on both machines for a few minutes and then swap them back. The
services do not fail over and seem to be fine after I make the swap. I
believe that the outside network ip is getting bound to the inside network
card and the cluster is happy, but the outside network can not see any
services.
Has anyone solved this problem with a script ,that will notice the outside
network has come back and bind the ip address back to the outside nic card ?
Have I mis-interpreted my problem ?
Thanks,
Jeff
