Hi...
Have just installed ase v1.5 on a two node 4100 soon to be cluster (I
get to go on the course next week).
Host names are MONTST1 & MONTST2. The memory channel interfaces are
called MCMONTST1 & MCMONTST2.
I am working on MONTST2. The local host file looks like this:
10.254.10.1 mcmontst1 # TCR CLUSTER_NET interface
10.254.10.2 mcmontst2 # TCR CLUSTER_NET interface
10.254.10.42 cluster_cnx # TCR connection manager
127.0.0.1 localhost
133.1.91.11 finrod # BIND server
133.1.91.20 feanor # BIND server
133.1.91.247 montst1
133.1.91.248 montst2
When I run asemgr, it fails:
# asemgr
Enter a comma-separated list of member systems's interfaces on the
cluster interconnect within ASE 0.
Enter Members: mcmontst1, mcmontst2
<***About a minute delay here***>
*** Can not establish a connection with the ASE agent on 'mcmontst2'.
Please make sure 'mcmontst2' is up and running on the network, installed
with ASE, has a valid ASE license, has a running aseagent, and is not
already associated with another ASE.
Check syslog's daemon log to determine the error.
It is up and running and does have a license. There is an aseagent
running:
# lmf list
Product Status Users: Total
Active
TCR-UA active unlimited
ps -ef | grep -i aseagent
root 306 1 0.0 09:41:19 ?? 0:00.04
/usr/sbin/aseagent -b -p hsm
The daemon.log file has this in it:
Nov 9 10:39:01 montst2 xntpd[553]: synchronized to 133.1.91.247,
stratum=5
The syslog.log file only says the time of the last syslogd restart.
Any ideas??
Thanks - Tony
