Hi,
I'm in the way of buying a tape library for backups (and restore) purposes,
and I'm wondering which technolgy is the more reliable ? One tells me that
DLT tapes were more fragile than DAT or 8mm tapes because of the method
used by the drive to extract the medium from the catridge...
Also what about dec/compaq libraries and other (Quantum, IBM Magstar, ADIC,
etc.)?
Finally, has anybody experiences (or horror stories) with TimeNavigator
software from Quadratec ???
Any tips are welcome. TIA
Regards,
JD
