Dear all,
I am thinking of setting up a dial-in PPP service on a 3000/300 which
I believe has only one serial port. The reason I am writing to the
list is that this serial port is also the console at the moment. My
fear is that perhaps it is not possible to have console and modem on
the same serial port (what happens if the kernel decides to write a
message to the console and the modem is online?).
I am slightly stumped by this and would greatly appreciate any
suggestions.
Thanks,
Arrigo
P.S. Is the ISDN port on the 3000/300 a dummy? Or is it usable? I
know it doesn't have the pretty BT sticker to say I can
connect it...
