Hello,
At our company we have a Windows NT network with some Digital Unix
Servers. At the moment we use fixed IP addresses on both networks.
We want to use Windows Internet Naming Service (WINS) and Dynamic
Hosts Configuration Protocol (DHCP) on the Windows NT Network.
As a result of this the windows 95 clients can get a different IP address
each time they log on to the network.
How can we make it that when we ping to a netbios name (so not a host name)
Digital Unix knows where to find this computer (so resolve its IP address).
Is there some information about this on the Internet?? Can someone
give us this information??
