Hello managers,
two of those things i don't understand are these:
-> why does sometimes a "cd ~/dir" hang, while after a Ctrl_C
a "cd /home/user/dir" works without "visible" delay?
-> why does a "MAKEDEV rz3 rz6" result in special device files
/dev/*rz3* and *rz6*,
while a "MAKEDEV tz3 tz6" result in special device files
/dev/*rmt0* and *rmt1*?
(If, of course there aren't any *rmt* before)
I have seen both features(?) since i use Ultrix and Digital Unix
(all versions).
With regards,
Bernt Christandl
