SUMMARY: swxcr configuration

Thanks to all who responsed to my posting. I received too
may to list individually.

It seems that I can only delete drive groups in reverse
order, so I would have to delete my 20gb RAID 5 (group B)
before deleting the JBOD (group A). I thought this would
destroy my data on group B, but several responses said that
they had done this successfully if the recreate group B
EXACTLY as before. I also got a call back from Compaq telling
me the same.

I also received several messages (and a phone call) telling
me that I would destroy the data on that RAID 5 once I delete
the group.

Since this is an important machine (aren't they all?) I will
have to try this on a slow day (read that as "I'll be doing
it on a weekend"). I was also warned to have a full backup
handy, "just in case."

Thanks again to everyone that responded. I'll send out a
followup to let you know what really happens when I actually
try this.
