Hello all,
I am trying to install a Digi Acceleport Xem Host Adaptor (PCI) into an
AlphaServer 400, running Digital Uni 4.0D (firmware revision 6.1). I have
used the latest installation s/w (4001180H.bin / DGIEPC142) from Digi's
website and followed the instructions there yet, when installed, the
software does not recognise the presence of the card. Looking in the boot
log I found the following messages:
Dec 2 17:11:59 custard vmunix: epca: More than 0 ISA/EISA boards found >
Dec 2 17:11:59 custard vmunix: epca: These boards will NOT be available >
Dec 2 17:11:59 custard vmunix: epca0 not probed
Dec 2 17:12:00 custard vmunix: epca: More than 1 board found >

Dec 2 17:12:00 custard vmunix: epca0 in pci slot 13 not configured
I think epca is the device name and, as stated before, the card is the PCI
version. Digi support have so far not been much help but are investigating.
Has anyone else come across a similar problem?
The card is plugged into the shared PCI/ISA slot - are there any known
issues regarding this? The machine appears to be detecting both an ISA and
PCI card and configuring neither.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
